My glasses from Siem Reap, Cambodia

Lazy afternoon
I never thought I'd be buying a pair of glasses from my trips overseas, and I used to wear contacts ALL the time. But ever since I got these frames for a cool USD 6 (lenses sold separately) at one of Siem Reap's many optical shops along Sivatha Boulevard, I couldn't stop wearing them. Before, I never regarded eyeglasses as an accessory; more like a necessity. That all changed when I bought these frames in my favorite color.

So the next time you visit Southeast Asia, specifically Siem Reap, Cambodia and Quiapo in Manila, Philippines, check out the local optical shops for unbeatable bargains. They make great gifts for friends too!
